The SHPS Year 5’s ABC Giving Tree Appeal.
As a way to give back to our community, the Year 5’s students are raising money for the ABC Giving Tree Appeal. Rather than collecting goods, the Giving Tree is asking for financial donations to distribute amongst the 11 charities the ABC supports across Tasmania.
Proceeds from the ABC Giving Tree Appeal are distributed between Launceston Benevolent Society, Launceston City Mission, St Vincent de Paul Society, The Salvation Army, Uniting Tasmania, Hobart City Mission, Mission Australia, Anglicare, Colony 47, Hobart Women's Shelter and Kennerley Children's Home.
All donations will be distributed to Tasmanian charities to buy toys, gift cards and food hampers for individuals and families. We hope you will join us to continue to bring joy this holiday season.
Some of the Year 5 students created colouring baubles to add to our tree. We are asking those families, who would like to donate to the ABC Giving Tree Appeal, to colour, cut it out, and add a bauble to our Christmas tree – located near the school office.
Donations received by the 15th of December will be counted towards this year’s total.
