Dear Families
Welcome to term 4! It has been great to see everyone returning from holidays looking refreshed and ready to learn.
Thank you to families who provided information about their child to inform classes for next year. This process is now well underway.
Term 4 is always very busy with lots of events and information. I strongly urge all families to check News and Notices (odd weeks) and the Newsletter (even weeks) each Thursday to keep abreast of information.

Kinder to Year 2 Athletics Carnival
We are looking for volunteers to assist with the running of the Infant Athletics Carnival, on Wednesday 30th of October, to be held at school.
Parents will need to be available between 9 to 11am.
Interschools Swimming Carnival
We need volunteers to assist with the Interschool Swimming Carnival, being held at The Hobart Aquatic Centre, on Monday 4th of November 2024.
Parents will need to be available between 9.30 and 1pm, and be able to make their own way there.
Parents need to have their WWVP card and must have under taken the Safeguarding training, which only takes 15 minutes.

The Year 6 Assembly will be held on Thursday 12 December in the school hall. The time will be 11:15am for an 11:30am start. The assembly is expected to run for approximately one hour. Refreshments will be available after the assembly.
Further details and information about how you can secure seats for the assembly will be in News and Notices on Thursday 31 October.

SHPS gym on the 9th November. Doors open at 4.30pm, dinner at 5pm and the main event starts at 6pm.

Entry is by on-line entry (preferred) https://tasorienteering.asn.au Entry on the day (payment by card, not cash) is $2 extra for adults and $1 extra for Juniors. In order to enter you will first need to register as a Casual or Club Member of Orienteering Tasmania. Casual membership is free. To enter the event or the series, click on the event name under Upcoming Events on the Orienteering Tasmania home page. Where a family participates as a group with just one map we usually only charge for one person
