Message from the Principal
Dear Families
We are now into our second week of the school year. Classes are very settled, and students are well into the swing of learning in their new classroom, with their new teacher and peers.
I know families are keen to hear about the learning occurring in classes. Our usual platform for this is See Saw. This year we will be using the new, paid version of See Saw, courtesy of DECYP. This new version will take a greater level of setting up than we have had in the past. We ask that you are patient while we work through the requirements and as soon as this has been established and See Saw is ready to start, we will let you know. Keep an eye on the newsletter (even weeks of term) and news and notices (odd weeks) for updates.
To increase opportunities for you to be engaged with your child's learning in 2025 we will be hosting open classrooms in terms one and three and sharing assemblies in terms two and four. Dates will be provided soon!
Students are enjoying using a greater area of the oval with the higher fence along the rivulet track edge. We are expecting four soccer goals to be delivered soon which will allow three soccer games across the oval. An added advantage – only one ball over the fence so far!
A reminder that week 4 (Monday 24 – Friday 28 February) is parent teacher meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to meet your child’s teacher and for you to share information with the teacher that will help support your child’s learning. Bookings will be via SZapp and open tomorrow. They close next Thursday 20 February.
Regards
Anne Reeves
