Message from the Principal
Dear Families,
Welcome to winter! We have been treated to an icy, but beautiful, blast this morning. Speaking of cold weather, there are currently 23 polar fleece jackets, 2 soft shell jackets and one coat in lost property. Could families please check that all uniform items are named and that if you have a second-hand item your child’s name replaces that of the previous owner?
At this time of year students also need to bring warm clothing as even a day that starts out mild can change quickly.
Learning continues in classrooms with Year 5 and 6 students well into the swing of their options program. We will be sharing more of this with you in coming newsletters.
Yesterday I spent some time in Kinder and shared in their indoor/outdoor learning program. Some students were outside exploring the environment with a range of activities. Inside, other students were busy exploring provocations, reading, building and sketching the museum exhibit – a white-headed petrel. I was also lucky enough to have an interesting conversation with Ellis about wingspan.
I hope you enjoy reading about Grace’s success in the Organ Pipes Classic event. Please find Grace’s item in this newsletter and read more about it. If your child has experiences in extra-curricular activities that you would like shared in the newsletter, please get in touch.
Regards
Anne Reeves
