There has been some confusion about the gates to the school grounds. The Weld Street and Anglesea Street gates are always open, except for between 8:15am – 8:30am and again between 9:00am and 2:45pm. The reason the gates are locked at this time is because staff do not take duty of care of students until 8:30am. Students who are not at Before School Care should not be in the grounds before 8:30am.  

The remainder of the time the gates are open so the grounds can be used by the community.  

The gate along the rivulet track is locked at 3:30pm each afternoon. This is not unlocked outside of drop off and pick up times, as it has been left open after hours, allowing wallabies into the playground. Wallabies leave quite a mess which gets walked into classrooms and other learning areas.  

At times our EFAs and grounds staff have been spoken to disrespectfully about the gates. If you have any queries about this, please contact me to discuss.
